Having a year 1/2 class I have become very accustomed to printing resources like worksheets and pictures to then have the painstaking job of cutting and sticking them into books. What an arduous task!
Dropbox is a great free resource that allows you to share files with any device that has internet access. By setting this up on my tablets and class PC I can simply save any resources we might need for a lesson to the Dropbox folder on my computer and this is instantly accessible on the tablets for the children to work from. I now very rarely find myself staring at the wall in the photocopier room because I hardly ever print anything!
One key benefit of this is the ability it gives the children to manipulate the resource, they can zoom in if the font is too small or highlight key words on the worksheet!
This has made planning from home easier because I can create my resources in my own time and know that when I get to school the next day they will be waiting for me and the students!
